Organizational Behaviour

Dr. Oliver Gottschall

1. Introduction

Enterprises share some key factors coming into play, among which the interaction within organizaion always is a big concerns of both junior and senior positions. Organizational behaviours will establish the unique working culture for each organization and be the link which connects all staffs together and maximize their productivity. It is an interdisciplinary field that includes sociology, psychology, communication and management.

2. Objectives

Organizational Behaviour is the study of individuals and their behaviour within the context of the organization in a workplace setting. This is also one of the key skill areas of consulting which this class focuses on: the understanding of organizational behaviour and management of change in organizations. Students are guided through the various aspects of organizational behaviour and learn to understand the complexity of “making change stick” in large organizations. The roles of consultants in the change management process are discussed. In-class exercises and case-studies offer a practical, hands-on learning experience.

3. Curriculum

The course will help you work out by means of case studies derived from completed practical projects and then be evaluated in small groups. The students are encouraged to subject the procedural methods of the projects to intensive scrutiny and possibly improve them. The content includes:

5. Lecturer

oliverDr. Oliver Gottschall is currently the lecturer at Chulalongkorn University (Thailand).With his sound knowledge in a lot of subjects like International Management & Consulting, Business Strategy & Strategic Management, International Business Consulting, ..etc, Dr. Oliver Gottschall is the Guest lecturer for many Bachelor and Master programs in Chulalongkorn University (Thailand).

Dr. Oliver Gottschall has over 8 years experience in consulting positions as a Project Manager at McKinsey & Company; external project team member for DaillerChrysler (Thailand) Ltd. In 2003-2004; he used to be a Guest speaker on Lean Manufacturing and Problem Solving at a Serminar for the Ministry of Commerce(Thailand). Moreover, he worked across countries, including Australia, Germany, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Qatar, Singapore, Thailand, UK, USA.

Dr. Oliver Gottschall got his PhD in International Human Resourse Management, University of Lincoln (UK) in 2009, and his MBA in Arts, Business & Managerial Economics in 2004.
