The MBA-MCI Intake 11 Graduation Ceremony

On the Sunday morning, May 14th, 2023, the MBA-MCI program organised the Graduation ceremony for Intake 11 students. The ceremony was held at B4 Hall, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, where the graduates, their families, faculty members, and distinguished guests gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion. The event marked an important milestone for the graduates after two years of study in the MBA-MCI Program – The joint program between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. 

The MBA-MCI Intake 11 graduation ceremony has the attendance of representatives from both Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. On behalf of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, the program was honoured to welcome Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao – Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Assoc Prof. Dr. Dang Dang Tung – Director of Office for International Study Programs (OISP), Assoc Prof. Dr. Truong Quang Vinh – Director of MBA-MCI Program, and Dr. Duong Nhu Hung – Dean of the School of Industrial Management, HCMUT. From The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), there was the participation of Prof. Barbara Eisenbart, FHNW lecturer and the MBA-MCI program lecturer. 

The commencement address was delivered by Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao – Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Throughout Assoc Prof. Nguyen Danh Thao’s address, he warmly congratulated the new MBA-MCI Masters. “For Intake 11 students, this is not only the day which marks the end of your long academic journey at the MBA-MCI Program, but also the day we can celebrate a great hard journey trying academic years during the Covid-19 period.”-said Prof. Nguyen Danh Thao to the graduates.

Following the welcome speech, on behalf of  The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, Prof. Dr. Barbara Eisenbart delivered an inspiring congratulation speech to MBA-MCI graduates  reflecting on the memorable experiences, academic performance in the MBA-MCI Program. Prof. Eisenbart mentioned in her speech “This intake is the second MCI intake to receive their degree with the AACSB accreditation. Only the best business schools in the world are accredited with AACSB, like Harvard University or Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The accreditation is a voluntarily rigorous external review of a school’s mission, faculty qualifications, curricula, and ability to provide the highest-quality programs”

From Switzerland, although unable to attend the Graduation Ceremony with Intake 11 students, Prof. Dr. Rolf-Dieter Reineke – Co-Director of the MBA-MCI program also sent a congratulatory video message to the 15 new Master’s graduates.

In the graduation ceremony, the MBA-MCI Program honoured three outstanding students who achieved the best results in the Intake 11:

Assoc Prof. Dr. Truong Quang Vinh delivered the awards to 3 graduates who had the best outstanding academic results

Dr. Andreas Hinz, the MBA-MCI Program Director from Switzerland, also sent his sincere and warm congratulations to the new Master’s graduates. Dr. Andreas Hinz said  “I am very happy and proud of the efforts of the students in Intake 11 to complete the MBA-MCI program. Congratulations to all of you and I wish the upcoming journey of our new Masters success and prosperity.”

On behalf of the new graduates, MBA. Nguyen Minh Khoa  expressed gratitude to the guidance and inspiration of professors, mentors, and alumni, who challenged him as well as his classmates to think critically, creatively, and strategically. He also was grateful for the support of our families, colleagues, and friends, who encouraged them to pursue our dreams and goals. “We are ready to face the next chapter of our careers with confidence and optimism. We have the skills, knowledge, and mindset to succeed in the dynamic and competitive world of consulting and start-up. We have the potential to be leaders who can shape the future of business and society.”- said Mr Khoa.
